Marc Vanderberg and Iconix Pickups, Michigan, USA, join forces
April 18, 2016 - For Immediate Release - German guitarist and songwriter Marc Vanderberg and the US based pickup manufacturer Iconix Pickups teamed up and developed a rock/metal humbucker set, that was built up to Marc´s specific requirements. It is called `Marc Vanderberg Deth Punch Signature Set´.
“Since I started playing the guitar, I was crazy about pickups and their impact on the sound. During the last couple of years I bought lots and lots of pickups - active, passive, expensive, cheap, custom, off the rack - tested them, kept them, sold them and so on. Always in search of a better pickup. Then, a couple of weeks ago, I read something about Iconix Pickups in the USA and contacted them. Iconix is a pickup boutique. I talked to Don, the CEO, and sent him some of my songs and solos to let him know, what kind of music I am into and how I play the guitar. Moreover I told him about the sound I want to have. Then he came up with the idea of a signature set. After the pickups have been built in my VGS Eruption Relic, a Les Paul Style guitar, I plugged it in the amp and was really blown away by the sound. The pickups are very powerful and clear, warm and accurate. Besides the great sound, I love the white pickups with blood splatter”, says Marc about the new pickups.

Marc Vanderberg is a german guitarist/songwriter. He describes his genre as Hard Rock / Metal Rock. His guitar style was mainly influenced by the guitar players Kee Marcello (ex-Europe), John Norum and Yngwie J. Malmsteen. Vanderbergs Debut-Single ´Key to your Heart´ was released on October 31, 2014. The EP `The four Elements` is out on May 22nd 2015.
